Tomorrow, Friday, June 24, 2005, 6:30 PM at Knitting Factory
Gameboy, Guitar and a Drumset

This show is free.

I am playing tomorrow with a group called Omac. Omac is the brainchild of Chicago transplant Mark DeNardo. You can listen to some samples at http://www.webhole.com/omac/. He sequenced everything on an old-school Nintendo Gameboy. Remember those? Imagine old Nintendo game music (Zelda, Super Mario Bros. etc.) with a guitar and drumset on top of that.  We will hit as early as 6:30 PM but no later than 7 PM. The show is free. See you soon. Sincerely, Alexander.

From the KF site:

GNG JUNE: Â FRIDAY NIGHT – LOW-BIT DISCO !

Every year , in June, the gaming industry is a bit tired because of their big annual event E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in May. But NYT never lets the games and music stop. Last June,  we held the “8 Bit Strikes Back” event, and for this June, we will hold the “8 Bit, 16 Bit and all Low Bit Strikes Back” event, more focused on music and dance, in association with Knitting Factory.
