Performing with Dan Torres featuring Paula Valstein. Two powerful singers together in this intimate setting. Dan will be playing electric guitar maybe also his acoustic, I will be playing light percussion with Ricardo Rodriguez on electric bass. I don’t know if Paula will be playing guitar, keys or just signing. Regardless, both Dan and Paula’s voices together is a definite don’t miss.

Performing with Omac. An 8-bit onslaught fronted by Mark DiNardo. I will be playing heavy pocket rhythms on a simplified drum kit on top of a backing track played through an original Gameboy with also electric guitar and a Speak and Spell emulator run on laptop.

New York’s most extraordinary circus talent will strut their stuff for a cause at SLAM. Dangling from dizzying heights on trapeze, aerial silks, Spanish web and more, this collection of aerial stars, contortionists, and acrobats are coming together for an unforgettable performance. The roster for this unprecedented evening includes the likes of LAVA , LUMINOSITY , and Kelly Shaw as well as a variety of exciting up and coming talent under the tutelage of Laura Witwer. This event provides a rare opportunity to sample the exciting variety of skilled work that the circus community of New York City has to offer.
The proceeds for this evening will go entirely to Women for Women International, founded in 1993 to help women overcome the horrors of war and civil strife in ways that can help them rebuild their lives, families, and communities. Women for Women International’s tiered program begins with direct financial and emotional support; fosters awareness and understanding of women’s rights; offers vocational skills training; and provides access to income-generation support and microcredit loans that together can help women restart their lives in ways that independent, productive, and secure.
The event is being produced by ImaginAerial Entertainment Group, a dynamic aerial team that performs acts on silk, trapeze, and hoop for circuses, corporate events, and shows around the world. In 2005 alone they have been seen in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Chicago, Jamaica, and New York. This fall they are excited to be a featured act in Circus Nexus’s production of “Nutcracker Dreams†in Tampa, Florida.
