This Friday I’m performing with the band Neoray in Park Slope Brooklyn at The Fifth Estate at 8 PM.
Neoray is a combination of the austere vocals of Christy and eclectic electronic layers. The songs about imagined characters of Brooklyn and Manhattan, absurdest lust, supernatural menage a trios and aristocratic space travelers. Formed in 2011, Neoray uses analog pianos as a base to their sound, with Singleton grafting her sometimes chilling lyrics into the mix.
I call it synth-pop-dark wave. I think we would open for a band like The XX.
